How to unlock all the safes in Blue Prince? There are several safes in the Blue Prince manor, each containing valuable gems and letters that reveal more about the story. Here's a complete guide to all safe locations and their codes.
So far, we've discovered at least seven safes in the game--at least the ones that are related to this particular arc. To give you more context, there are 44 pairs of paintings scattered throughout various rooms. These are all part of a "meta puzzle" of sorts, which then gives you clues as to how you'd unlock the safes themselves.
Before you begin:
- This article discusses the safe codes in the Boudoir, Office, Study, Shelter, and Drafting Room.
- The rewards from each safe include gems and letters, but we won't spoil what each letter contains.
- If you find yourself in these areas in successive runs, you can reenter the respective codes to acquire gems.
Safe Locations and Codes
Boudoir Safe
Located in the corner of the room behind the covering and mannequin. The clue is in the Christmas postcard - Code: 1-2-2-5 (Christmas Day)
Office Safe
Found inside the desk drawer. Look for the note with crossed-out book titles. "March of the Counts" is the key to this puzzle - Code: 0-3-0-3 (March + Count busts)
Study Safe
Appears later in each run. The chess piece on table (King on D8) provides the clue - Code: 0-8-1-2 (Reversed December 8)
Drafting Studio Safe
Requires a Magnifying Glass to inspect the framework near the entrance. Check the calendar and document dates - Code: 1-1-0-8 (November 8 - Day 2)
Shelter Time Lock Safe
Located in the Shelter (outer room). Set both date and time in terminal: 1) Calculate current date (Day 1 starts on Nov 7, check inventory for day count), 2) Set time to 10:00 AM (must be 1+ hour ahead of current time). To check current time, visit the large clock at the front of manor in Grounds. Wait ~5 real minutes per game hour - Code: Current Date + 10:00 AM (Day 1 = Nov 7 (e.g., Day 22 = Nov 28))
